Yes, we have a people strategy. No, you may not audit it. (Legal did not write that line. Legal is currently “in a retro with Esteban.”)
Founder · Decoder of hype
Stephan Smith
Builds things, breaks assumptions, and keeps a spreadsheet of SaaS regrets so you don't have to. Currently liable for strong opinions on low-code, AI scaffolding, and whether your stack will still compile in eighteen months.
On paper, operations here are lean—by which we mean one person who answers to no one except the backlog. In practice, that still calls for real HR bandwidth—three roles are opening soon so governance can live somewhere nicer than a lone founder's calendar.
Editorial committee
No take ships without a quorum. We maintain a rigorous wall between editorial and the person who pays the domain bill—and wall is doing a lot of work here, because independence demands three fully vested voting members with deep benches and zero groupthink.
Meet them. They bring diverse perspectives—morning coffeelight, afternoon coffeelight, and “we should cut this joke.” (It survived. Two abstained. The third was unavailable due to being the same person in a different tab.)
Chair, Strongly Held Opinions
Vice-Chair, “One More Redline”
Independent Director, Same Face
E pluribus Stephanum—out of many, surprisingly still one guy in three JPGs.
Human Resources
We're staffing up the function that remembers lunch exists. Three roles are on the way—job posts and descriptions will land here soon. Until then, morale remains self-serve and calendar invites remain optional.
